# My Journey Into Biohacking: Where It All BeginsAt 40 years old, I've started thinking about my health differently. When I was younger, staying fit was mostly about looking good. I didn't think too much about recovery, sleep, longevity or what my health might look like in another 20 years. Now I do.That's what has led me down the rabbit hole of biohacking. My goal is simple: I want to discover what I can realistically do to stay fit, healthy, strong and youthful for as long as possible. I'm not expecting to stop ageing, and I'm certainly not looking for a magic pill. I want to understand my body better and see whether making smarter decisions now can change how I feel in the future.## Starting With the BasicsOne of the first things I've learned about biohacking is that it doesn't have to involve expensive technology or unusual treatments. My journey is starting with the fundamentals.I'm improving my diet, eating more protein and whole foods, drinking more water and paying attention to what makes me feel good. I'm also taking training more seriously, particularly resistance training.Building and maintaining muscle has become one of my biggest priorities.Cardiovascular fitness is going to be equally important. I don't just want to look healthy in the mirror; I want my body to actually perform like a healthy body.## Learning to Sleep AgainSleep is another area I'm trying to improve. For years, sleep was something I sacrificed whenever life became busy. Now I'm beginning to understand how much it can affect recovery, energy, appetite, training and even how old I look.I'm experimenting with consistent bedtimes, reducing late-night screen time and avoiding caffeine too late in the day i also will start this copper peptidesIt's hardly science fiction, but if it works, it works.## Going Down the Biohacking Rabbit HoleThis is where my journey gets more interesting.I've started reading about longevity supplements, wearables, blood testing, red-light therapy, saunas, cold exposure, peptides and emerging anti-ageing research. There's an incredible amount of information available, but there's also plenty of hype.I don't want to blindly follow every new trend. I want to research different biohacks, understand the evidence and, where appropriate and safe, test things while tracking whether they genuinely make a difference.## The Experiment BeginsI'm going to document my progress along the way.I'll track my fitness, strength, body composition, sleep, energy levels and general appearance. I'll also share what I learn, what works for me and probably some things that turn out to be a complete waste of time. This isn't about trying to become 20 again. It's about finding out how good 40, 50 and eventually 60 can feel when you actually take care of yourself. My biohacking journey is only just beginning.I can't stop myself getting older — but I'm determined to find out whether I can get older without becoming old.
